Salt water egg experiment

A few objects float on top of the ocean, and other

objects kitchen sink to the bottom level. Why?

With this salt drinking water egg experiment we can locate a

option for this problem.

It was observed that to help make the egg float salt is needed

to dissolve in fresh water. If the egg was lowered

into the freshwater container this started to drain.

When salt was added to the container the egg begun to float. Adding salt for the water squishes more molecules into the normal water. This makes this particular denser. When there was simply no salt in the water, the egg was denser compared to the water and it went under. Adding salt to the water makes the water denser compared to the egg making the egg float. When we weigh a cup of saltwater and a cup of fresh water, the saltwater weigh more than fresh water even though it is using the same volume. This is because the saltwater is denser compared to the fresh water. Sodium water can be denser than ordinary faucet water, the denser the water the easier it really is for an object to drift in it. When the egg was decreased into the liquid it drops through the typical tap water until it reaches the salty water, at this point the is dense enough intended for the egg to drift.

To find the density of salt drinking water first tested the mass of sodium water following adding salt into 800ml of water. The following answers are the thickness of sodium water each time increasing you table place of sodium into 800ml fresh water. 1 table spoon of sodium is also corresponding to 10g. Density = Mass

Amount of salt| Density of salt water

0 spoon1 spoon2 spoon3 spoon4 spoon5 spoon6 spoon| 1 . 071. 091. 111. 131. 151. 171. 19

Fresh water is usually lighter than salt normal water. Fresh water provides a density of just one. 0 while salt drinking water has a thickness of 1. 025. From this, we understand that salt water is usually slightly bulkier than fresh water. The proportion between the two is forty one: 40. Consequently , fresh water " floats" on top of...
